About Totally Doha
Totally Doha is an independent travel guide dedicated to one city: Doha, Qatar. We're building a genuinely comprehensive resource — things to do, where to stay, neighborhoods, tours and practical trip-planning advice — adding new guides every week rather than launching everything at once.
Why just Doha?
Most Gulf travel content treats Doha as a footnote to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, or crams it into a single generic "Qatar" overview. We think the city deserves better than that: a proper museum scene, a genuinely walkable old town in Souq Waqif, desert scenery within an hour's drive, and an airport that turns millions of layovers into potential day trips every year. That's enough to justify a dedicated, detailed guide, and that's what we're building.
How we work
Our editorial content isn't for sale: nobody pays to be featured or recommended in our guides, and where we mention specific hotels, tours or neighborhoods, it's because they're genuinely useful reference points for planning — not paid placements.
That said, this site does use affiliate links in clearly marked places (the sidebar of guide pages, the search widgets, and the footer) — currently Wise, Amazon, Hotels.com and Expedia. If you sign up or book through one of those links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to services we actually use ourselves, and those partnerships never influence what we write in the guides themselves. See our Privacy Policy for the full disclosure.
Every guide on this site follows the same approach: real, specific information over generic filler, and honest trade-offs rather than a list of superlatives. We'd rather tell you a neighbourhood isn't worth your time than pad out a "top 10" list to hit a round number.
A work in progress
New guides are published every week, and older ones get revisited and expanded as the site grows. If you spot something that's changed — a new attraction, an outdated detail, a broken link — we want to hear about it.
